Olympic National Park
Rain Forests to Sea Stacks
May 12-16, 2027
-
Explore Olympic National Park at its most beautiful during the spring season.
-
Photograph iconic beaches, waterfalls, and old-growth forests at sunset and blue hour.
-
Master composition, filters, and creative editing techniques.
Join international award-winning photographer Randy Van Duinen for five unforgettable days photographing one of America's most spectacular national parks. Mid-May is one of the best times to experience Olympic National Park, with lush rain forests, rushing waterfalls fed by snowmelt, dramatic Pacific coastlines, and fewer crowds than the busy summer season.
Limited to just five or six participants, this boutique workshop offers an intimate learning environment with plenty of one-on-one instruction. You'll photograph iconic locations throughout the Olympic Peninsula while learning Randy's approach to composition, light, long exposures, and storytelling in landscape photography.
This workshop is much more than simply visiting beautiful locations. Participants will enjoy post-processing sessions in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, image critiques, and two evenings devoted to light painting, where Randy will demonstrate how to create dramatic images using artificial light after sunset.
Whether you're photographing sea stacks along the Pacific Coast, waterfalls hidden in old-growth forests, or creating light-painted images under the evening sky, you'll leave with not only a portfolio of beautiful photographs but also new techniques and inspiration for your own photographic journey.
