Budapest Revealed - Photography Workshop
Iconic Architecture, Hidden Interiors, and Exclusive Access
Spet. 13 - 18, 2027
-
Photograph Budapest’s iconic architecture during beautiful morning and evening light
-
Gain special access to hidden architectural treasures with a local expert
-
Learn from two photographers with distinctly different architectural approaches
Budapest is a city of grand architecture, remarkable interiors, and layers of history—but some of its most compelling photographic subjects are hidden behind doors most visitors simply walk past. Join award-winning architectural photographer Randy Van Duinen and Budapest-based photographer and writer Vincent Baumgartner for six days photographing both the celebrated landmarks of the city and its lesser-known architectural treasures.
We'll photograph iconic locations including the Hungarian Parliament, Fisherman's Bastion, St. Stephen's Basilica, the Hungarian State Opera, historic bridges, and some of Budapest's extraordinary interiors. Two half-days will also be devoted to locations selected through Vincent's local knowledge and access, taking us inside historic residential buildings, courtyards, staircases, and architectural spaces rarely experienced by visitors.
Photography will be planned around the best available light, with early mornings for quieter locations and evening sessions along the Danube through golden hour, sunset, twilight, and blue hour. Throughout the workshop, Randy and Vincent will work alongside you, sharing two different approaches to architectural photography while helping you strengthen your composition, technique, and creative vision.
Limited to just 12 participants, Budapest Revealed combines personal photographic instruction with local knowledge and access, giving you the opportunity to experience—and photograph—a side of Budapest most visitors never discover.
