Thaddeus Buggs
Thaddeus Buggs believes that every great bottle of wine tells a story of the land, the people, and the traditions that have shaped it over generations. His passion for wine has led him across Europe and into some of the world's most respected vineyards, where he has spent years learning directly from winemakers, exploring historic wine regions, and expanding his knowledge of viticulture, winemaking, and food pairing.
He holds the Advanced Certificate from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), one of the world's leading wine education organizations, and is pursuing the WSET Diploma, one of the industry's highest professional qualifications.
Before dedicating himself to wine education, Thaddeus served for 22 years as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, a career built on integrity, discipline, and attention to detail. Today, those same qualities define his approach to wine education. As founder and publisher of The Minority Wine Report, he writes about wineries, wine regions, producers, and tasting experiences while helping make the world of wine more welcoming and accessible to a broader audience.
Known for his enthusiasm, engaging personality, and ability to make even complex wine topics easy to understand, Thaddeus enjoys introducing others to the history, culture, and craftsmanship behind every glass. Whether leading a tasting in Tuscany, sharing stories from his travels, or helping guests discover a new favorite wine, his goal is simple: to create memorable experiences that inspire a lifelong appreciation for wine.
